1a) Bonus Music Presentation!

Kids from the Suzuki Violin program at Beach School will be performing at the Overlook Village Street Fair and parents will be passing out fliers on how you can help to support the violin program. If you miss them there, you can still help:

GO TO http://www.incited.org/projects/save-portland-suzuki-violin-program-at-beach-school.  Learn more about the program and how it impacts our students and watch the VIDEO. This is where the power of crowdfunding comes in – every little bit helps!  You can also mail donations to Portland Suzuki Project 15286 SW Kenton Drive Tigard, OR 97224

LIKE “The Portland Suzuki Violin Program at Beach School” on Facebook.  Please make comments so that we can let everyone know how special this program is and keep up the momentum.  Please SHARE our posts, so that we can reach a wide audience and encourage others to do this as well.

SHARE ideas on who we can reach out to.  So far we have received some great ideas and would love to hear more.  You can reach us at savebeachpsp@gmail.com.

Applications for the 2013 Multnomah County course are open now through August 15, 2013 at Noon

Course structure: The popular eight-week course includes two field trips and instruction in topics such as thoughtful consumption, recycling processes, alternatives to hazardous household products, composting and deconstruction and green building. The course is a blend of presentations by professionals in the field, peer group discussion and project development.

Participant responsibilities: Participants agree to attend all classes and field trips. After completing the course, graduates put their skills to work to help others learn the three Rs: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. It’s what makes the Master Recycler Program so special: participants agree to volunteer 30 hours of public outreach. Master Recyclers staff information booths at community events, provide presentations, and work on personal projects. They also work to inspire their own neighbors and coworkers.
