1) NET firehouse field trip (Saturday)

The Overlook Neighborhood Emergency Team (NET) will meet Saturday, Jan. 6, for a field trip to Fire Station #24 on Interstate Avenue. The visit will include a tour, chat with the crew and orientation to this important neighborhood resource. All residents of Overlook and surrounding neighborhoods served by the station – Boise and Humboldt — are invited to attend.

2) Adidas – moving trucks and more

Adidas is moving some employees from its crowded Overlook campus to the Montgomery Park building in Northwest Portland. As part of the move, the company has a permit to load trucks on Delaware Street from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Monday to Thursday next week.

The Overlook Neighborhood Association has been in close contact with adidas officials and neighbors closest to the campus regarding use of public streets and upcoming campus construction. We’ll have a fuller update in the next issue of the Overlook Views newspaper, which will come out in February.
