1) Development proposal for 5905 N Interstate Ave

The developer of a proposed mixed-use building at 5905 N Interstate Ave. (just south of Ainsworth) will hold a public meeting on Monday night. This is an opportunity for neighborhood residents to learn more about the project and provide input to the developer. The meeting will start at 6 p.m. at the Lucky Lab Tap Room on N Killingsworth St.

The proposed three-story building will hold 13 studio and six one-bedroom units as well as some commercial space on the ground floor. The property’s zoning requires that 25 percent of the ground floor be devoted to active use. We’ve posted the design packet for interested neighbors to review.

Last year, Portland adopted new rules for neighborhood notifications and meetings by developers. In the past, developers were required to present their projects at neighborhood association meetings. Now they may host their own meetings. Continue reading “Overlook Neighborhood Update (Feb. 9)”
