Arbor Lodge Neighborhood Association (ALNA) presents the movie, and Arbor Lodge resident, Alex Santana (Assistant Professor of Philosophy at University of Portland), will be facilitating a discussion following the documentary. 4) Intersection Repair on Overlook Blvd (6/2)
Sign up now to join in this pioneering Intersection Repair, a part of City Repair’s Village Building Convergence! The massive stretch of pavement in the intersection of Overlook Blvd and N Concord’s Bike Boulevard is home to the largest street graphic yet in Portland and it’s going to be a heck of a street party.
Volunteers are needed for Painting Day, Saturday, June 2nd, starting at 9:00 am. If you sign up in advance, we’ll know how much delicious food to request from our caterers (thank you Kenny & Zuke’s Deli!). Let us know you’ll be participating by emailing organizer Leslee Lewis at onest@ overlookneighborhood.org.
Still need to borrow- can you help? A power washer, 3 easels, chairs, sidewalk chalk (lots!); and YOU to take on one small piece of the project – paint!, help Ken feed us, sign-in and direct volunteers, play music (I know there is a band in this neighborhood!), help with Clean-Up! Your financial donations are also appreciated; this is a neighbor-sponsored event – the city does NOT pay for it!

5) Harper’s Playground Groundbreaking (6/8)
I’m posting this early so you have plenty of time to get involved. Harper’s Playground is the city’s only fully-accessible playground, and it’s right here in North Portland. Neighbors have created this renovation almost out of thin air and their own donations.
