1) North Portland Neighborhood Services Small Grants Program 2013
Does your neighborhood project need funding?
The North Portland Neighborhood Services Small Grants Program (NPNSG) is a grant provided by the City of Portland, distributed by the Office of Neighborhood Involvement (ONI) and administered by NPNS. The goal of the program is to provide neighborhood and community organizations the opportunity to build community, attract new and diverse members, and sustain those already involved. The creation of this grant program allows a wide variety of community projects to be funded and implemented each year.
NPNS will be distributing approximately $20,000 total for community projects to be completed by December 2013. Grant application and selection will be administered by NPNSG committee members, made up of seven North Portland residents, in early 2013.

2) Parking is free at the meters on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises visitors to Downtown Portland, the Lloyd District and Marquam Hill for the upcoming holiday weekends that on-street parking will be free at the meters on Christmas Day, which is Tuesday, December 25, and on New Year’s Day, which is Tuesday, January 1. Regular parking rates will apply all other days.

3) No-parking Apartments: Presentation to City Council
POSTPONED: The City Council session on new apartments and parking that Commissioner Fritz has asked re the new apartments and parking item is postponed until after the new year.
An announcement will be sent when a date and time for that Council session has been set.

4) No December PSAC Meeting
Just a reminder that the December North PSAC meeting is cancelled.
The next meeting is Wednesday, January 23rd.

5) N Portland Grant Program Ending
In other grant news, members of the North Portland Enhancement Grant fund committee are planning to spend down the remaining monies and close the fund.
