2) Overlook House Halloween Party for Little Kids (10/31)
Leaves are blowing and pumpkins are everywhere! It must be time for the Overlook children’s Halloween Party, Wednesday, October 31, from 4-6 pm! This fun Halloween event is put on for young children (ages 1-5 years) by the Friends of Overlook House. We’ll have crafts, games, prizes, dancing and snacks. Wear your costume and come ready to have a spooky good time!

3) Age Friendly Communities Connect (11/8)

What: The Oregon Gerontological Association is hosting the first ever regional meeting on age-friendly cities and communities.

Why: Learn about cutting-edge efforts that address the aging of our region and how to get more involved in your community. Representatives of age-friendly efforts in Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington (OR) and Clark Counties (WA) will present. Metro Councilor Shirley Craddick will also join the conversation and facilitate polling of participants and sharing of ideas on how we can shape the future of our region.

Have you ever participated in a land use planning and/or development review process in Portland? Did you find the experience positive or frustrating? Do you have ideas about how the City of Portland could involve the community more effectively in land use and planning in Portland?

You have an opportunity to share your experiences and ideas and help shape new goals and policies for community involvement in Portland’s Comprehensive Plan. The Comprehensive Plan is Portland’s formal land use plan and guides future growth and development in our city.

Please tell us what you think by filling out a questionnaire. The questionnaire should take about 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
