1) Cooling centers open during heat wave
With a heat wave hitting the Rose City, Portlanders are looking for ways to stay cool. Multnomah County will open three cooling centers for seniors and adults with disabilities starting Friday and operating at least through Monday.
In the meantime, don’t forget to check in on your Overlook neighbors to make sure they are doing alright. Watching out for our neighbors is part of what make Overlook a special neighborhood.
Also, all Multnomah County libraries are air-conditioned and open seven days a week. They are great places to beat the heat and relax with a good book at the same time. Libraries are open seven days a week. Click here to find the one closest to you and its hours. (It’s probably on Killingsworth Street)
