Last Chance to Sign Up to be on the Overlook Yard Sale Map!
Time is running out to sign up to be on the anonymous map for this year’s Overlook neighborhood-wide yard sale. To sign up, take 3 minutes to fill out this online form: https://forms.gle/
This year’s neighborhood-wide Yard Sale is planned for Saturday July 13th (from roughly 10am-4pm, but it’s up to you), with the corresponding Free Share set for Sunday July 14th. It’s going to be a busy weekend out there, with Porchfest happening in tandem that Saturday across the neighborhood, so LOTS of potential buyers will be out and about.
If you have any questions, please e-mail Josh at sustainable@
Hope to see you out there!
Porchfest is Coming Right Up! – July 13th & 14th
It’s going to be a busy weekend in Overlook in a couple weeks! At the same time the Yard Sale & Free Share is happening, there will be nearly 70 artists performing across the neighborhood on a variety of porches and even in some local businesses. The lineup is set and an interactive map is in the works – mark your calendars and stay tuned! If you have questions John at parks@overlookneighborhood.
Movie in the Park Returns to Overlook – Friday July 12th!
In case you thought there wasn’t already enough going on in Overlook in mid-July, we are thrilled to announce that Portland Parks & Recreation has decided to bring back Movie in the Park to Overlook Park on Friday July 12th. This year, they will be showing The Newsies, an admittedly deep cut out of the Disney vault that some of you millennials might remember (it was released in 1992). The event will kick off at 7:30pm, and the movie will start at dusk (about 9pm). Bring a blanket and perhaps a snack – in past years, free popcorn has also been provided by the City.
Movie in the Park is part of the City’s broader Summer Free For All event series, which also includes musical and other cultural events throughout the City this summer. Learn more by visiting: https://www.portland.gov/
Buy the Overlook Neighborhood Association a Coffee?
Well not an actual coffee, we enjoy coffee from The Stacks Coffeehouse for our meetings. But we are seeking community donations in earnest this year, for the first time. Please consider scanning this QR code (or click the link HERE and scroll down to see the donate button on our page) to send a donation to the Overlook Neighborhood Association to help support future editions of the Overlook Views, Porchfest 2024 and neighborhood social gatherings!
