2) “Toy Story” – no, Toy Drive – yes!
Portland Parks & Recreation wasn’t able to reschedule the showing of “Toy Story” so late in the season. Nevertheless, we really want to go on with the toy drive, knowing that many of you bought new toys. We run the toy drive at Tuesday’s normally scheduled OKNA general meeting at Kaiser Town Hall. (See above.)
If you bring a new toy or a cash (or check) donation to Human Solutions, you will be entered into our raffle. Winners need not be present to claim their prize. Cynthia Sulaski will contact the winners. Just show up at Kaiser Town Hall between 6:15 and 7 p.m. to drop off your donation. You’ll also get a receipt for tax purposes.
If you can’t make it on Tuesday, email Cynthia to make other arrangements.

5) Apply for a neighborhood small grant
Do you have a great idea about how to make the Overlook Neighborhood even better? The city’s Office of Neighborhood Involvement is accepting grant applications for neighborhood-based projects.
The goals of this grant program are to: Increase the number and diversity of people who are involved and engaged in their communities and neighborhoods; strengthen neighborhood and community capacity to build community leadership, identity, skills, relationships and partnerships; and increase community and neighborhood impact on public decisions and community life.
