Overlook Neighborhood Update (Nov. 13)

1) Going Street cleanup canceled (Dec. 4)
2) Overlook Neighborhood Association General Meeting (Nov. 15)

1) Going Street cleanup canceled (Dec. 4)

The persistence of OKNA Board Member Cynthia Sulaski and other neighborhood residents led to the Portland Bureau of Transportation’s cleaning up the former homeless campsites on Going Street. The spots of digging remain to be filled, but that work is on PBOT’s to-do list.

Thank you to all involved, especially Cynthia and PBOT. Our natural areas are returning to normal.

2) Overlook Neighborhood Association General Meeting (Nov. 15)

Join your neighbors on Tuesday to hear about what’s happening in Overlook. The agenda includes presentations from two developers of upcoming residential projects – Two buildings on the north side of N Skidmore Street with 12 units and a building across the street on the site of the Overlook Restaurant with 180 units and 92 underground parking stalls.

We also will discuss what streets in the neighborhood we should ask the city to pave or install sidewalks.
