1) Overlook Neighborhood social and picnic (Tuesday)
Join your neighbors at the annual OKNA social. We return this year to new American, which has generously offered to host the event again with the same food deals as last year. Get a “drive-through” burger or veggie burger with fries or sweet potatoes for $9, a farm salad for $6, and half off on wine and beer.
Overlook social and picnic
Tuesday, Aug. 16, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
New American (2103 N Killingsworth St.)
The Providence Bridge Pedal takes place on Sunday morning. Expect traffic delays on highways and local streets. Several of the routes pass through the Overlook Neighborhood along Willamette Boulevard and Greeley Avenue.
Work at the south on-ramp from Going Street at I-5 Exit 303 has been extended. The contractor has notified the Oregon Department of Transportation that it will be necessary for their worker’s safety to close the I-5 south on-ramp from Going Street to complete striping and signal loop work on the ramp. These closures are scheduled to take place Sunday, Aug. 14 and Tuesday, Aug. 16 from 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
4) Ice cream social was fun for all
Last week’s 2016 Overlook House Ice Cream Social was a huge hit with neighbors, as it is every year. Check out pictures from the event by clicking on the image below.
