1. Stay Cool Around Portland This Weekend
This weekend brings record breaking temperatures to the Portland area. We urge all neighbors to be safe and have a plan in place if you need to seek out a cooling center. Multnomah County is opened three cooling centers that will be available 24/7 through at least Monday, June 28th. Pets are welcome at the centers as well, but must be in a kennel or on a leash. Pet supplies will be provided. If you need transportation to one of the cooling centers call 2-1-1.

2. Trimet Will Not Turn Away People Who Can’t Pay This Weekend
In addition, Trimet — while still encouraging people to pay their fares whenever they can — will not turn away anyone looking to escape the heat if they don’t have money for their fare.
3. Splash Pads Open Back Up In Parks
If you haven’t already heard, Portland’s splash pads are officially back open for children to enjoy.
