1. Overlook Park Nature Patch Ribbon Cutting

The natural-themed garden at Overlook Park is ready for visitors! Join your neighbors, the OKNA Board, and Portland Parks & Recreation for the official ribbon cutting on Saturday, February 12th, at 10:00 a.m.

3. Help shape the future of biking in Portland

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) is currently recruiting applications for 13 new Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC) members to serve a two-year term. The Bicycle Advisory Committee is a city advisory body that advises City Council and all departments of the city (though primarily PBOT) on all matters that encourage and enhance bicycling as a means of transportation, recreation, wellness, and environmental enhancement.

Applications are due on or before February 28, 2022. Selected members will be notified of their appointment in mid- to late March 2022, and the first meeting with new BAC members will be April 12, 2022.

4. Where would you like new public trash cans in North Portland?

Late this spring the City of Portland will be adding 100 new public trash cans throughout North Portland. The cans will be emptied twice a week, paid for by the City. Please take a moment and complete a brief survey, about where these new trash cans should be placed.
