1) Party at the Intersection! (6/1)
Saturday forecast is 75 and sunny… Come join neighbors at Overlook and Concord for more of the good fun we shared last year…
There will be:
Firefighters and the Fire Truck, to help clean the street art (10AM)
Planter construction and planting (feel free bring any low growing starts/plants you'd like to share).
Water and other fun (water balloons, hula hoops, scooters, sprinklers and sidewalk chalk welcome – the street will be closed)
Live music
Added incentive…Ken of Kenny and Zuke’s Deli will be bringing his knock-out pastrami and slaw for helpers.
And we'll have mulch for participants' street trees til it runs out!
Bring kids, friends, neighbors!
Bring brooms, buckets, pop-up canopies, SUNSCREEN! cordless screwdrivers, gloves, safety glasses, salads, plants, wheelbarrows, trowels!
Bring musical instruments and play for your neighbors!
Saturday, June 1 10am-3pm
Intersection of Overlook Blvd and Concord/Failing/Melrose
See you in the sunshine tomorrow!

2) Native Plant Sale to Benefit FOOB (6/1)
Just in time to round out your spring landscaping, Friends of Overlook Bluff is holding a native plant sale on Saturday June 1 from 9a-3p.
Stop by the open meadow with the oak tree in the 3900 block of Overlook Terrace
to choose pretty species that benefit our bluff's ecosystem. We will have drought-tolerant, sun, shade and bird-bee-butterfly attractor varieties. There will be information on hand to help guide your choices, as well as in bloom plants! It is also a good opportunity to learn more about Friends of Overlook Bluff and our goals to preserve, restore and connect the natural areas in our neighborhood.
You might even want to purchase a plant to take to the intersection planter installation and street cleaning happening two blocks away on the same day.
