On this Giving Tuesday we hope that you will consider supporting the work the Overlook Neighborhood Association by donating in one of three ways. When you donate to OKNA you help support neighborhood project such as movies in the park, annual holiday party, monitoring land use projects, and more. We’re a nonprofit organization and we rely on the generous support of residents like you.
1. Amazon Smile
If you have an Amazon online account, Amazon will donate 0.5% of the cost of your eligible purchases to non-profit organizations registered with the Amazon Smile program. Go to smile.amazon.com to see the list. Better yet, enter https://smile.amazon.com/ch/93-1121342 then click on Accept for Overlook Neighborhood Association. That’s it.
2. Fred Meyer
If you shop at Fred Meyer and participate in their Rewards program, there is a Community Rewards option too. Fred Meyer donates a total of $500,000 each quarter to the non-profit organizations that have registered with their program. The money is divided up based on eligible purchases by individuals with accounts designating a registered non-profit organization. Go to fredmeyer.com then click on My Account then My Community Rewards on the bottom far left. Enter RR853 or Overlook Neighborhood Association to find us then Enroll. You can also use the Fred Meyer app by selecting Rewards, then Community Rewards.
3. Donate Directly
The best way to donate directly is through the OKNA charitable giving PayPal account. If you would prefer to write a check make it out to the Overlook Neighborhood Association and send it to OKNA, 2209 N Schofield St, Portland OR 97217. OKNA is a 501c3 so direct donations are tax deductible. Consult with your tax professional for more details.
To those of you who added OKNA to Amazon Smile and Fred Meyer Community Rewards as your designated non-profit organization, thank you! So far, OKNA has received almost $60 from these two programs this year, and that should continue to grow.
