Bring your raincoat and basket to Overlook House tomorrow, because the Easter Bunny will visit whether it’s sunny or showery. He’s leaving hundreds of eggs filled with treats for you to discover. Find a shiny Golden Egg and win a special prize!

The annual April campus cleanups have arrived; pitch in and make your local school beautiful for the spring!

3) Transportation Planning Town Halls (4/24 & 5/1)
Mayor Hales, Commissioner Novick and Transportation Director Leah Treat will welcome the public and discuss transportation needs and funding options at the town hall events:
Thursday, April 24: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Multnomah Arts Center , 7688 SW Capitol Hwy
Thursday, May 1: 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Woodstock School , 5601 SE 50th Ave.
The town hall meetings will provide an opportunity for the public to speak with transportation staff, ask questions and make comments for the mayor and commissioner to consider as they explore ways to improve transportation funding.

Requested donation of $10/vehicle
Instead of taking bulky items (old couches, mattresses, furniture, scrap wood) to the dump, bring them just a few blocks from your house! Money raised at the clean-up will help pay for Arbor Lodge’s Movies in the Park, and trash cans to Denver Ave. We provide the dumpsters and volunteers to help you unload.
Items we accept: Household junk, reusable building materials, metal and tires, reusable clothing and furniture for free swap pile, styrofoam, rigid and peanuts, E-waste (anything with a cord or battery) but no fluids, fuels, or bio-hazards.

Want to grow old in your own home & neighborhood supported by a caring community? Then, help us create a Village to serve North Portland!
Villages are networks of volunteer services and reduced-cost professional support that foster affordable, interdependent aging in community. They also feature programs to keep us engaged with others while we enjoy activities ranging from fitness groups to classes and social events.
Now is the time to build a North Portland Village so we can continue living in our own homes – as homeowners, renters, seniors sharing housing or living with relatives. We can benefit from more than a decade of experience from the 130+ villages that have formed nationwide. More than 150 Villages are in development across the states, including six here in the Portland metro area!
Come! Bring a neighbor or friend to learn more about the Portland metro-area Village Movement and how you can join the team planning a Village unique to North Portland residents.
