Overlook Neighborhood Association General and Board Meeting Monday, April 14, 2025 at The Stacks Coffeehouse starting at 6:30pm. We look forward to seeing you there!
Please join us for one of our community meetings on Monday, April 14th, 2025 at 6:30PM at The Stacks Coffeehouse at 1831 N Killingsworth.
Learn about upcoming sewer repairs and replacements on N Going Street, N Greeley Avenue, N Humboldt Street, N Delaware Street, and in Madrona Park at the meeting. Environmental Services outreach staff will present information and answer your questions. For more details beforehand, visit portland.gov/bes/ngoinggreeley.

Overlook Spring Cleanup is This Saturday April 12th!Â
Please come out and join SOLVE with the Overlook Neighborhood Association and Beach Community Union to pick up litter across the neighborhood and tune up Beach Elementary School’s garden. We’ll have some breakfast snacks available, and participants will be able to choose from a variety of rewards being offered by local businesses (including Old Gold and Milk Glass Market). Saturday April 12th, 10am-12pm. Meet at 2101 N Killingsworth Street.
And if you can’t make it, consider Double Mountain Taproom’s Volunteer and Beer Overlook Neighborhood Cleanup on Friday April 18th from 10am-12pm, also sponsored by SOLVE. Volunteers at that event will get to enjoy a free drink of their choice afterwards!
Monthly Overlook Bike Ride this Sunday 4/13Â
The monthly Overlook bike ride is coming up, and this month’s ride and discussions will have a special topic: N Ainsworth St! See link for more details: https://www.shift2bikes.org/calendar/event-20590
Folks from PBOT will be there to listen and engage about an upcoming project for N Ainsworth St that will make biking and walking on N Ainsworth St safer as part of their larger ‘North Portland in Motion’ program.
Date/Time: Sunday April 13th, 9:30am meet/coffee, 10:15am depart
Location: Meet at Stacks Coffeehouse (1831 N Killingsworth St), ride ends at Stacks
Ride details: The route will be about 5 miles total and feature a few stops and is conversation-paced. Family-friendly, beginners are welcome!

The deadline to apply to perform or host a workshop at Overlook Porchfest is fast approaching! This is our fourth annual neighborhood music festival that is quickly becoming an Overlook tradition, and we want you to be a part of it! Are you a musician and/or in a band? Apply! Want to host a workshop that educates your neighbors and broader community on a skill? Apply! Do you want to host any of these activities? Tell us about your porch and/or yard!

Hoppy Easter, Overlook Neighbors!
Get ready for some springtime fun at the Historic Overlook House (3839 N Melrose Ave) on Saturday, April 19th! The Easter Bunny will be there to help hide a whopping 2500 eggs filled with treats and treasures. Don’t be late – the egg hunt kicks off at 10:30 am SHARP! This event is free, donations are gratefully accepted.
23 Portland Artists Awarded Grants to Energize North Portland’s IFCC Cultural SceneThe Portland art scene is buzzing with fresh excitement as Friends of Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center, a local nonprofit, disclosed the latest recipients of their grant program. As informed by Portland’s Office of Arts & Culture, 23 artists associated with the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center have received funding that promises to recharge the historic North Portland venue. With a diverse array of artistic mediums including dance, music, and visual arts slated to fill the space, the grants signify a tangible investment in the City of Portland, Oregon cultural offerings.
Portland City Council MeetingsÂ
There are 3 ways that we can stay connected with what’s happening at City Hall.
Attend a meeting:Â Council meetings are scheduled for the first Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. and third Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. each month. Council also meets for work sessions and executive sessions as scheduled. Council committees typically meet the second and fourth weeks of each month on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
Live Stream or Watch Recorded Meetings:Â The City of Portland has a YouTube channel where we can watch a council meeting live and also watch past recorded meetings.

Other ways to participate:
Public Comment:Â City Council welcomes public testimony. Members of the public must sign up in advance to comment on available agenda items during the meeting by completing the “Testify on this item” link below or by calling 311 (learn more about testifying on agenda items). To address Council about a topic of your choosing, request a communication spot for an upcoming Council meeting (same-day registration is not available).
Registration for virtual testimony closes one hour prior to the Council meeting. In-person testifiers must sign up before the agenda item is heard.
