Make your plans for the annual Overlook Yard Sale & Free Share, a popular neighborhood event for clearing basements, garages, and spare rooms. This year’s clear out is on the 2nd weekend of July (July 11 & 12, 2026) and coincides with Overlook Porchfest and the Mississippi Street Fair – there will be lots of people in the neighborhood!
This year’s Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, July 11th, from 10 am – 4 pm (however, the actual times are really up to you as a participant). Last year, we had over 80 homes participate!
When you sign up online with OKNA, your address will be included on an anonymous digital map available to the public that will be physically printable and made available online via Google Maps. This map will be advertised via Nextdoor, the Oregonian, and Garage Sale Finder so that visitors and neighbors can all quickly identify each participating sale in Overlook. This helps boost foot traffic and more exposure for each sale.
It’s also totally OK to just put your things outside and join in! (You don’t need to sign up if you only want to do the Free Share.) You can expect hundreds of people biking, pulling wagons, and walking around to see what you have that they can use.
The Sunday of the event is a Free Share day. You can leave your yard sale leftovers out with a FREE sign and give them all another life. Faithful pickers usually clear up everything from our well-known event.
