1) The Road to China – A Benefit for the Jefferson Dancers

Meet and mingle with the dancers of the 2012 season and artistic director Steve Gonzales—all to the sounds of the Portland Woodshed Jazz Orchestra. Enjoy wine and appetizers, as well as a special on-stage performance by the Jefferson Dancers.

The Jefferson Dancers are an elite company of high school-age dancers devoted to bringing dance into the local Portland community as well as touring nationally and internationally, with more than 50 shows a year.

4) Harbor Oil Superfund Site Comment Period (12/14)

Comment on the Harbor Oil proposed cleanup plan through December 14. We invite your comments on our proposed cleanup plan for the Harbor Oil Superfund site in Portland, Oregon. We are hosting a public meeting on December 6, 2012 to explain the proposed plan and take public comments. We will be available to answer your questions during the open house from 6 to 7 p.m. At 7p.m., give a presentation explaing our Proposed Plan, and document public comments for the record.

5) North Portland Neighborhood Services Grant Committee (12/20)

Are you seeking opportunities to engage in your community and make it a better place?

Participate in the North Portland Neighborhood Services Grant Committee.

The North Portland Neighborhood Services Grant Committee (NPNSG) has a vacancy for an additional committee member. The committee consists of seven residents from the North Portland Neighborhood Services district who read and rank applications, distribute funds, promote the NPNSG program, and evaluate completed projects. The NPNSG committee receives new member applicants every year as committee member terms run out. There is currently one seat open on this committee.
