11) OKNA Meeting Recap
Thank you to the nearly 100 Overlook neighbors who participated in the OKNA meeting on Tuesday. A successful election for board positions netted several new members in addition to many returnees; we’ll give you many opportunities to thank these willing neighbors for volunteering some of their time for the neighborhood’s benefit. If you are interested in joining the board but missed the election, please email us atinfo@OverlookNeighborhood.org or contact a board member directly, as there’s still an opportunity to be included. The OKNA board meets on the first Tuesday of each month; details on our website: www.OverlookNeighborhood.org

Many who attended came primarily to hear the update presented by Myhre Group architects regarding the apartment building on N Overlook Boulevard at Overlook Park. The building is planned for 68 units, with no on-site parking. If you would like to contact or join the committee working on this issue, or if you’d just like to keep up with their news, please visit their Facebook page and website, where a report from the meeting is posted:

12) State Website to Help Small Business
One Stop Shop for Small Businesses and Entrepreneurs

Small business owners and entrepreneurs now have the resources they need at an online "one stop shop," thanks to legislation State Rep Tina Kotek co-sponsored last year. The successful bill called for the creation of a business internet site to streamline information to assist small business owners as they work to launch, grow and hire. Thanks to this central hub, business owners can spend less time on red tape and more time on moving the economy forward.

Business Xpress includes information on permitting requirements, services and resources for a number of business filings, as well as tax, business assistance, promotion and regulatory programs. The portal also helps business owners obtain information on hiring, training, exporting goods, and contracting with public agencies. http://cms.oregon.egov.com/business/pages/index.aspx
