1) Happy Holidays from OKNA

The Overlook Neighborhood Association wishes everyone in the neighborhood and beyond a wonderful holiday season. Our annual holiday party on Friday was a roaring success with more than 40 neighbors in attendance. Great food and even better company were enjoyed by all.

Thank you to the organizers, especially Board Member Addie Humbert and former Board Member Tamara Maher; Daybreak Cohousing who hosted us again this year; and everyone who donated prizes for the raffle.

The weekly update will take next week off to spend solstice time with friends and family. We’ll return before New Year’s Eve.

2) Holiday garbage pickup

All Portland residents with curbside collection service will have schedule changes from December 25 through January 6. There is no collection service on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day. You can sign up for a weekly email that includes weather messages and reminders for collection days at garbagedayreminders.com.
