Overlook Neighborhood Update (Sept. 17)

1) Neighborhood meeting (Sept. 20)
2) Oregon Archives Crawl (Oct. 8)

1) Neighborhood meeting (Sept. 20)

Join your neighbors on Tuesday for the monthly Overlook Neighborhood Association General Meeting. Residents won’t want to miss presentations from the developers of three upcoming large residential projects on Interstate Avenue. We’ll also hear from ReachNow, a new car sharing service operating in the Portland, and will hold OKNA Board elections.

OKNA General meeting (agenda)
Tuesday, Sept. 20, 6:30 p.m.
Kaiser Town Hall Building (3704 N Interstate Ave.)

2) Oregon Archives Crawl (Oct. 8)

archives-crawl_poster_thalhoferThe Oregon Archives Crawl is back, and Portlanders can “crawl” between the City of Portland Archives & Records Center, the Oregon Historical Society and the Multnomah County Library, where they can explore the region’s history with 28 local archives, special collections and heritage organizations. Celebrate National Archives Month while discovering the wealth of information that can be found in local archives. Whether your interests include the history of Japanese internment, the impacts of urban renewal on Portland or resources for finding your family’s history, the Oregon Archives Crawl has something for everyone.

Archives are for everyone. Show your support by attending the 2016 Oregon Archives Crawl. The crawl is free and open to the public. Start at any of the three sites.
