1) Zoning Changes Released for Review

The updated Comprehensive Plan Proposed Draft can now be viewed in the Bureau of Planning & Sustainability’s Map App. http://www.portlandmaps.com/bps/cpmapp2/

If you’ve taken a look at the Map App or read the Comprehensive Plan [Link to http://www.portlandoregon.gov/bps/article/497622], you may have some questions about how the Plan might affect your property, your neighborhood, or the City. You can always call the helpline at 503-823-0195, but if you’d prefer to talk to somebody in person, or take a look at a big paper map of the Comprehensive Plan changes in your area, here’s your chance! The District Liaisons (planners who work with community partners in five areas of the City [Link to http://www.portlandoregon.gov/bps/article/402395] ) will be holding drop-in Comprehensive Plan “office hours” at various locations in July and August. You can find them on the calendar of events. Please drop by to meet your District Liaison and talk about the Comprehensive Plan!

Drop in hours and locations for Leslie Lum, North Portland District Liaison:

8/22- Kenton Library 12-2

8/26- Kenton Firehouse 4:30-7:30

2) Overlook Village Street Fair Changes (8/2)

If you haven’t heard, we’ve changed up our Street Fair this year. New day, new structure and a new Soccer theme! The 2014 MLS All-Star Game is being held in Portland. And with a city so obsessed with its Timbers, we’re excited to help the fans celebrate. We’re hoping these fans and thousands of other Portland residents will come out to Overlook Village in August and play with us!

The Street Fair will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2014. We hope you got our Facebook "save the date" a couple of months ago!

If you’re available and want to be a part of this amazing Celebration-please go to our website www.overlookvillagepdx.com to register. Unfortunately, we’re not looking for food vendors this year, please check back with us next time though!

If you have any questions, contact Jenna- overlookvillage@gmail.com.
