1) Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

A big Overlook THANK YOU to organizers Cynthia Sulaski and George Aulbach, our neighborhood business sponsors, Portland Parks and Rec and all of YOU who turned out last Sunday for a boisterous evening of fun and a movie! Everything including the weather cooperated and went just the way it should. In fact, we had such a good time, we’re talking about doing it again next summer!

If you’d like to help with planning or execution, please email us at movie@OverlookNeighborhood.org

2) Overlook Views Delivery Dilemma

Our volunteer-created and –delivered neighborhood newsletter Overlook Views could use a hand from a few of you.

Delivery folk are having trouble accessing the Jarrett Street Lofts, K-Station and the Overlook condominium buildings. Do you live at one of these buildings, and want to help out your neighbors? We’d like to have a dedicated person to receive the newsletters 4x per year and distribute them in the lobby or door to door in your buildings.

We’re also always seeking delivery people to take a short route in the neighborhood (usually an hour or less on foot) or to be back-up helpers when a regular is unavailable or even to become a regular delivery hero when routes open up. Overlook Views comes out four times per year.

If you’d like to help with either of these important jobs, please email us at Views@OverlookNeighborhood.org Thanks!

3) Beach School Liaison

Are you active in the Beach School/Escuela Beach community? Overlook Views, your neighborhood newsletter, is seeking a contact at Beach to provide us with news from the school and/or coordinate student work for inclusion in our quarterly print editions. We’ve really enjoyed our partnership with the student writing project, our regular contact is on a leave and your faithful coordinator is overwhelmed. Contact Michelle with your helpful messages: Views@OverlookNeighborhood.org
